All is now set for the visit of the Ooni of Ife, Oba Enitan Ogunwusi, to the Awujale of Ijebuland, Oba Sikiru Adetona on Friday.
At the time of filling this report, all domestic staffs of the palace were seen putting finishing touches to the arrangement.
Also, painters, carpenters and others were working hard both within and outside the palace to give the palace a befitting look ahead of the historic visit.
Some Ijebu monarchs, high chiefs and some personalities have started arriving the Awujale palace to join the revered monarch play host to the newly crowned Arole Oodua, Oba Ogunwusi.
The last time Ooni of Ile Ife visited Ijebu Ode was in the early 80s and it was the late Ooni, Oba Okunade Sijuade.
This will be the second visit by Oba Ogunwusi to a first class traditional ruler since he assumed office about two months ago.
The first was the surprise appearance of the Ooni at the 45th anniversary of the coronation of the Alafin of Oyo, Oba Lamidi Adeyemi.
The last time any Ooni and Alaafin met was in 1937, about 79 years ago.
