Lagos State Football Association, LSFA has concluded plans for this year’s Lagos FA Cup with over 50 registered clubs.

According to the timeline released by the office of the Technical Committee of the Lagos State FA, the seminar for this year’s Lagos FA Cup sponsored by Winners Golden Bet, WGB, will hold on the 20 February at the indoor hall of Campos Mini Stadium, Lagos starting from 9:00am.

Dotun Coker, Chairman, Technical Committee of the FA disclosed that this championship will kick-off on 5 March, 2016 with the rookie matches, while the draws will hold on 1 March at the Lagos SWAN Secretariat, National Stadium Complex, Surulere, Lagos.

He stated that the tournament has 54 clubs registered for the men event, while only 5 clubs registered for the women competition.

He also said all the registered club are expected to send two of their representatives to the seminar at Campos Mini Stadium, Lagos.

“All is set for this year’s event, as you can see from timeline release earlier and from what is on ground, it’s going to be bigger and better than previous edition, ” he said.

In a related development, player’s licenses and team sheet are ready for collection at the Lagos State FA secretariat.

Under Secretary of the FA, Mr. Balogun informed that the licence are ready. He said and that all registered club should come to the FA Secretariat, Onikan Stadium, Lagos during working hours for collection.

Christ Ambassador Football Club are the defending champions in the male’s category, while Christ of David Ladies (COD) are the champions in the women’s category.
