Egyptian forward, Mohamed Salah has handed his country an away goal advantage after scoring in the 90th minutes against Nigeria at the Ahmadu Bello Stadium in Kaduna, northern Nigeria.
Salah’s goal cancelled Oghenekaro Etebo’s second half strike for the Super Eagles of Nigeria leaving the west African side with an Herculean task.
The Eagles will have to upset Egypt in the second-leg tie if they are to qualify for the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) holding in Gabon.
Egypt lead the group with 7 points, with Nigeria trailing at 5 points.
The two teams will meet again next week in Alexandria.
Tanzania are third n the group with four points. Chad have no point at all.
