Maiden edition of Abuja female league to kick-off July 15th

The FCT Football Association (FCT FA) on Monday says it will commence its first Women League July 15.

Musa Taller, Chairman, FCT FA said this in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Abuja.

He also said that the maiden edition of the exercise would be organised by the FCT FA in conjunction with the FCT Sports Commission.

The Chairman also told NAN that the league would feature six teams.

“For now, we expect the six Area Councils to feature their team and individual clubs.

“The registration is still open to clubs that are interested. For now, we are not sure of the number of clubs that will take part in the league.

Taller said that FCT Minister, Muhammad Bello, would declare the league open.

He, however, said that the fixtures had not been done to ascertain which team would play in the opening match of the league.

The chairman assured that the FCT administration would provide kits for all participating teams.
