The website of the Federal Civil Service Commission of Nigeria (FCSC) is down. This is happening barely six hours after the commission announced the commencement of massive recruitment for 2017/2018 into some ministries and agencies.
A visit to the website, www.fedcivilservice.gov.ng, as at the time of filling this report resulted in the following – ‘Error establishing a database connection’. The error message has been there for hours prior to this time.
The recruitment exercise which is to last for a period of six weeks offers a full time job. It is open to all OND, HND or BA/BSc certificate holders in all 36 states and FCT.
Interested Nigerians with required qualifications were directed to apply online.
The ministries where placements are needed are Federal Ministry of Information; Federal Ministry of Environment; Federal Ministry of Justice; Federal Ministry of Trade and Investments; and Bureau of Public Procurement.
For the sake of millions of unemployed Nigerians, we all hope that the website will be up and running effectively soon.
