Lagos OPD sets to organise awareness campaign in Oshodi

In order to foster its goals of rendering free legal services to the people of the State, the Lagos State Office of the Public Defender, OPD, is set to carry out awareness campaign and free Legal Clinic in Oshodi Local Government Area.

The Awareness Campaign/Legal Clinic is scheduled to hold on Tuesday, 27th November, 2018 at the Council Secretariat, Oshodi.

The purpose of embarking on the awareness campaign is to further sensitize the people in the environs about the activities of OPD as well as conducting a free Legal Clinic in the areas so as to reawaken the public about the New Laws enacted by Lagos State Government to preserve their Rights and that of the vulnerable.

Earlier, the Office had organized Awareness Campaign/Legal clinic in different parts of the State which among them was the recent one held at Lagos Island Local Government and Bariga Local Council Development Areas.

It should be recalled that the OPD was established by Lagos State Government to render free legal services to the less privileged members of the State with focus on the socio-economic rights of Women, Children and Persons with Disability.
