The governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in Lagos, Jimi Agbaje on Saturday said Lagosians must join him to fight tyranny in Lagos by dethroning the All Progressives Congress, APC, government.

Agbaje, on his twitter account, @jimiagaje alleged that his campaign posters on Third Mainland bridge were vndalised and removed by suspected members of the APC.

“Early this morning our boards were vandalized and removed just as campaign commenced. Some of our deployment staff were also threatened with violence and warned to desist.

“Fellow Lagosians, we must stand against this sort of tyranny. This is no ordinary election. This is a fight for #Freedom. A fight for Democracy. A fight for Lagos. We will not be silent and we will not be oppressed or suppressed into a corner. This time around, Democracy must win,” he said.

Agbaje also said Lagos is not working in the minds of many people, saying that if ever the situation would be salvaged, the PDP must be voted into power next year.

“The question isn’t if Lagos is working. That’s clear, it is NOT for majority of people. But if we are ever going to be able to get it back on track, it would require that we bet on the people and their dreams and hopes for a more inclusive state. There’s no better time than now,” he said.
