Premier League champions, Manchester City and Champions League winners, Chelsea have unveiled their new away kits for the upcoming 2021/22 season

City’s away kit has a water playing design inspired by the clubs charity, Cityzens Giving.

The charity is using football to raise awareness of and access to safe water across the world, and this new kit has been manufactured to boost that cause.

Cityzens Giving and Xylem, the club’s water technology partner, partnered to further their cause, producing the new shirt.

The shirt features water droplets throughout the design, while all crests and logos are made using iridescent colours, resembling the effect of light breaking through water.

For Chelsea, the London club brought back the yellow colour featured in many of their away kits for past years.

The new shirt boasts a simple design, with the base yellow shade covered only by a subtle pinstripe design that only adds to the throwback feel of the whole thing.

To accompany the jersey, players will don black shorts and yellow socks, with the two colours chosen as a reflection of both the history of the club and the youthful energy currently at the club.

As part of Nike’s Move to Zero campaign, this shirt is made using 100% recycled polyester fabric which is produced using discarded plastic bottles.

Chelsea could debut the kit on Sunday when they kick off their pre-season tournament against Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium.
