Arsenal and Chelsea renewed their rivalry on Sunday in a pre-season friendly at the Emirates Stadium, with the visitors running away with a victory.

Chelsea signify their intent and what to expect when the new premier league season kick-off this month with a superlative display, earning them a 1-2 victory against Arsenal.

Goals from Kai Havertz and Tammy Abraham were enough to secure victory for the Blues.

Havertz was one of seven players to get their first taste of pre-season action after this summer’s European Championships, with another, his compatriot Timo Werner, setting up our clinical opening goal midway through the first half.

Tammy Abraham scored the winner for Chelsea at Emirates Stadium, pouncing on Hector Bellerin’s loose pass before firing home from just inside the area with 18 minutes left.

Arteta’s side thought they had levelled late on when Joe Willock’s shot hit the underside of the bar and appeared to bounce over the line, but goalline technology was not in use and the goal was not given.
