He added that Arsenal had always left the door open for him to return one day. Now that he has retired, speculation is growing that Cazorla could return to the North London club in a coaching position.

Former Arsenal midfielder Santi Cazorla could make a surprise return to the club, this time as a coach.

According to reports, Cazorla may rejoin Arsenal after retiring from professional football at the age of 41.

The former Spain international recently ended his playing career after finishing his final season with his childhood club, Real Oviedo. During his career, he enjoyed successful spells in Spain, England, and Qatar.

Cazorla spent six years at Arsenal and became a fan favourite because of his skill, creativity, and positive attitude. However, serious injuries affected the latter part of his time at the club.
Speaking in 2024, Cazorla revealed that he had discussed the possibility of returning to Arsenal with manager Mikel Arteta, his former teammate.

“I have a special love for Arsenal,” Cazorla said. “I spent six wonderful years there and I know the fans still care about me. Mikel and I have spoken about the future, but my focus was on helping Oviedo and enjoying the final years of my playing career.”
