Alhaji Sani Idris, the Niger State Commissioner of Information, has been abducted by bandits.
His is the second high profile kidnap in the state.
He was kidnapped at 1 a.m today in his hometown, Baban Tunga in Tafa LGA.
The Secretary to the Government, Alhaji Ahmed Ibrahim Matane confirmed the kidnap.
Matane said security operatives were already on the trail of the kidnappers.
Last week, gunmen also abducted Aminu Bobi, Zone C chairman of the APC.
Bobi was kidnapped on his farm in Mariga Local Government Area.
