COVID-19 kills more Nigerians

Nigeria logs in 11 COVID-19 deaths in the last 24 hours, with 582 fresh cases reported, according to the Nigerian  Centre for Disease Control, NCDC.

The fresh reported cases represent a fall in infection from the 626 cases posted on Tuesday.

There is also a reduction in deaths when compared to the 14 deaths posted the previous day.

According to NCDC, as at Wednesday, total confirmed COVID-19 cases in Nigeria stood at 193,013 with 179,000 survivors discharged.

Also, 2,480 deaths have been recorded since the pandemic broke in Nigeria in February 2020.

Of the 582 cases posted on Wednesday, Lagos topped the chat with 175 cases, Rivers, 124 cases and Edo, 50 cases.

Cases were reported in 14 states in the federation and the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Abuja.
