Senator Ibikunle Amosun and his wife, Olufunke celebrate 30th wedding anniversary.

Former governor of Ogun State, Senator Ibikunle Amosun and his wife, Olufunsho have celebrated their 30th wedding anniversary.

Olufunsho, founder of UPLIFT Development Foundation took to her Instagram page to share the couple’s pictures while thanking him for three decades of unconditional love.

In one of her posts, she wrote: “Ade Ori Okin💕 HWA Ade ori mi💗 it’s been a blissful 30 year reign of wearing you as a crown on my head. #adeoriokin #ade #mycrown”

She also wrote: “30 years and still counting…
HWA husband, thank you for 3 decades of unconditional love💗
#30 #hwa #pearlanniversary”

Olufunso, nee Adesanya, met Ibikunle during the National Youth Service in Lagos.

As an IT savvy person, she was assigned by the ICT firm, where she did her primary assignment to offer some training for staff of Amosun’s accounting firm.

A chance meeting blossomed into a romantic affair. Both got married 30 years ago.

Olufunso was born on 2 May 1966 in London . Her parents were church ministers, the father a bishop and mum a deaconess.

She began her primary school education at St James Norland School in the United Kingdom.

Thereafter, she returned to Nigeria to attend Yejide Girls Grammar school in Ibadan from 1977 to 1982.

She then proceeded to Oyo State College of Arts and Science for her Advanced level education from1 983 till 1985, before gaining admission into University of Ife, now known as Obafemi Awolowo University where she bagged a Bachelor?s Degree in English Education.

Funso Amosun went further to obtain a master’s degree in Guidance and Counselling from the University of Lagos.
