The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, has reacted to the defection of former Aviation Minister, Femi Fani-Kayode to the All Progressives Congress, APC.

Fani-Kayode finally dumped PDP for APC on Thursday amidst several criticisms.

But PDP’s National Publicity Secretary, Kola Ologbodinyan, in an interview with BBC Pidgin on Friday said the PDP knew the kind of person the former Aviation Minister is.

He said the defection to the All Progressives Congress showed Fani-Kayode was not committed to the PDP.

Ologbodinyan emphasised that only commitment to the party would make it to grow.

He added that the PDP wished him well in his new home.

Many Nigerians receive Fani-Kayode’s defection with mixed feelings. Some expressed shock that he left the party after he had said he would rather die than to go to APC.
