WBC heavyweight champion Tyson Fury and defeated challenger Deontay Wilder are in for a big pay day after their trilogy fight at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas on Saturday night.

According to various reports, the two boxers are contractually guaranteed $5m each as per the Nevada State Athletic Commission.

But their share in pay-per-view revenue will balloon their purses.

The last time they saw each other in the ring, more than 800,000 people signed up for pay-per-view in North America alone, reports Marca.

Spectators in the United States, Wilder’s home, will only be able to watch the fight through the services of ESPN and Fox Sports, which cost 79.99 dollars.

From the total PPV sales and other sponsor revenue, champion Fury will take 60 percent, while challenger Wilder will take the remaining 40 percent.

“Taking all of this into account, it is estimated that Fury will take around 30,000,000 dollars and Wilder will earn close to 20,000,000 dollars”, Marca reported.

ESPN however reported that Fury and Wilder would earn over £18.4m ($25m) overall before pay-per-view points for their 2020 fight.
