Low turn out of electorate has characterized the governorship election currently ongoing in Anambra State.

While the election is generally peaceful, mass apathy sets in.

Both local and foreign observers are seen on ground monitoring the election.

Most of the INEC officials at the voting centers visited by our Correspondent are either sleeping or playing with their phones.

One of the voters who identified herself simply as Ada, opined that threat by IPOB may have contributed to the low turn out of voters.

Ada said she finally summoned courage to come out to vote after making several calls to find out of the security situation in several places.

Residents of all voting areas are seen in the front of their houses observing proceedings from afar.

As at the time of filing this report, no ugly incident has been recorded across the state.
