The Chairman of All Progressives Congress (APC) in Plateau, Mr Rufus Bature, has expressed concern about holding by-elections and APC national convention on the same day.

In seven states including Plateau, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) fixed Feb. 26 for their by-elections.

However, the by-elections coincide with APC national convention slated to hold on the same day.

While interacting with newsmen in Jos,  Bature said that the national leadership of the party was aware of the clash.

“The party is aware of this challenge and I hope they will do something about it in the next few days. This is because seven states are affected by the clash in date,” he said.

He stated that irrespective of the development, the state chapter of the party would be set for the national convention.

Meanwhile, Bature stated that Plateau would decide on the day of the convention the candidates they would support.

“Where Nigerians will be going is where Plateau will team up to build a formidable party that we will be able to understand ourselves.
