Zayyan Ubandoma and Atiku Abubakar

Zayyan Ubandoma, the north-central Director for the AtikuKawai media group, said the former vice-president never went on a secret medical trip to Germany.

Ubandoma stated this in an interview with Michael Adeshina on Tuesday night.

The media aide debunked the reports, despite being informed that Atiku’s fourth wife Jennifer Douglas, now locked in a dirty divorce with him, revealed the ex-VP went on a medical trip to Germany.

Ubandoma said: “Lies!! Atiku has never been to Germany for treatment of any kind. Very true that age is a natural factor, but Atiku is mentally and physically sound to rule Nigeria, to set a pace for the youth to unlock our opportunities.”

Atiku Abubakar is yet to officially declare his intention to contest for 2023 presidency but this is only a matter of time as he has begun consultations across Nigeria.

Sources have also confirmed to PM News that preparations are ongoing for the official declaration.

Below are further questions concerning Atiku’s quest for presidency tabled before Zayyan Ubandoma on Monday night.

Why should Nigerians support Atiku in 2023?

Well, looking at the present state of our country, the best person for Nigeria is a unifier. Apart from Atiku’s firm belief in restructuring, he has proven beyond doubt that he has the best economic policies that will bring back our glory.

He led the most successful economic team that ensured Nigeria paid off external debt and grow our reserves to the maximum level.

I believe he has the experience and ideas to help Nigeria move in the right direction and achieve its potential. He has never presented himself for President without a plan.

This is a question from a concerned Nigerian named Damilola Bamigbade: “Bearing in mind the lack of faith in the Nigerian political system most especially by the Youths and in view of the massive exodus of Nigerian youths to foreign lands all in a bid to make life better for themselves, what are the realistic and if possible drastic steps that would be taken by him (Atiku) in ensuring that the country retains its human and intellectual populace.”

First, it is important to note that Atiku Abubakar is the only Nigerian politician who agrees to the term “Nigeria has given me everything”

As a Vice President, he oversaw the telecoms revolution, which pave way for our youths who are now having flourishing careers, especially in the entertainment industry. Under their tenure, we witnessed a large repatriation of Nigerians back to Nigeria, driven by the hope of a recovering economy.

Nigerians want to know if Atiku will also be a medical tourist in 2023. Can you give us your word that Atiku will make use of Nigerian doctors and Aso Rock medical center when he becomes president?

You see, it is on record that Atiku and his entire household receive medical care in Nigeria. All his children studied abroad and he made sure that all of them are back in Nigeria and refused any of them to live there. This is because of his firm belief in Nigeria.

Ibrahim Babangida, Olusegun Obasanjo have all called for a younger president, someone below age 65, what do you have to say to them and other Nigerians who don’t want a man above 70 in 2023.

Let me tell you that governance isn’t about age. It is about the intellectual capacity to bring policies that will better our lives and improve our living standards.

Atiku has met with his media team and has discussed his visions, young Nigerians want to know the plans Atiku has for them in 2023.

As I said, Atiku has never presented himself without plans. Check the Atiku Plans. He’s not one with making grandiose promises, rather promises based on policies. A promise is an indication to do a future action, A policy is a plan to achieve future goals. He believes in setting goals and coming up with realistic plans and policies to achieve those goals. To Atiku, leadership is having the discipline to commit to one’s goals until they are a reality. He has succeeded in running his private enterprises which now employ 50,000 Nigerians because he believes in policies and has the discipline to stay with them until they become a reality.

What is the Atiku Plan for Nigeria’s economy?

It is about establishing policies that are feasible and achievable. As VP, Atiku assembled what is arguably the best Economic Team ever in Nigeria. It was made up of young, world-class professionals, who came home to work. Again in his home state of Adamawa for example, He has created over 50,000 direct jobs and 250,000 indirect ones. He’s the largest private employer of labor in the state only second to the state government. It’s not a lot, but it does help reduce unemployment.

With the current fuel scarcity, inflation, what does Atiku have in store to ease the hardship on Nigerians?

We all know the scandals surrounding the issue of fuel in Nigeria. When you have refineries that do not produce and yet consume heavily from the government and then pay off subsidies that we are not even sure of, you’ll have a problem.

Atiku talked about privatizing the NNPC which is a liability to the government the children of anger changed the narratives negatively but ended up considering the same. The moment we began to produce and refined our oil, we will be able to deal a blow to the scarcity.
