Ronaldo celebrates one of his goals

Cristiano Ronaldo grabbed a hat-trick on Saturday to help Manchester United beat Morwich City 3-2 at Old Trafford.

United were 2-0 up but Norwich fought back and levelled, but Ronaldo’s 76th minute goal saved the day for the homers.

Ronaldo had opened scoring for United on seven minutes with a wonderful piece of finishing. He made a yard for himself after a well-taken pass inside the box and netted into the middle of the goal.

He got his brace on 32 minutes using his strength and awareness to get the better of the defender and coolly scored from the resulting corner kick.

Norwich got one back on first half added time after Teemu Pukki played the ball into the box, and Kieran Dowell got on the end of the cross to put it into the back of the net.

The visitors equalised seven minutes after the break as Pukki latched on to a precise pass inside the penalty box and produced a sweet strike that beat the goalkeeper as it went inside the right post, bouncing in off the post.

United were heading for another draw which had been their trademark this season when Ronaldo struck his third goal on 76 minutes through a free-kick.

Ronaldo took the free-kick from a promising position. He sent the ball goalwards and it bounced in off the left post.
