President Muhammadu Buhari on Monday received the Ekiti State Governor-Elect, Biodun Oyebanji after he won Saturday’s governorship election in the state.
Oyebanji polled 187,057 votes to defeat Segun Oni of the Social Democratic Party (SDP), who came second with a distant 82,211 votes. Bisi Kolawole of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) came third with 67,457 votes.
The APC candidate won in 15 of the 16 Local Governments in Ekiti State.
At the visit were Jigawa State Governor, Abubakar Badaru; APC National Chairman, Senator Abdullahi Adamu; Ekiti State Governor, Kayode Fayemi; Chief of Staff, Prof. Ibrahim Gambari; Campaign DG & Kebbi State Governor Atiku Bagudu; Minister of Industry, Trade & Investment, Otunba Niyi Adebayo and Senior Special Adviser the President (Domestic), Sarki Abba.
