Gov. Ugwuanyi convenes emergency security meeting

Gov. Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi of Enugu State has convened an emergency security meeting with stakeholders in the three senatorial zones of the state.

Special Adviser to the Governor on Information, Steve Oruruo, confirmed the development to PM News on Friday.

He said that the leadership of the Nigerian Army in the state will participate in the meeting.

According to Oruruo, those invited include the Chairmen of the 17 Local Government Councils, and traditional and youth leaders in the state.

Others are Presidents-General of Autonomous Communities, religious leaders, all heads of Neighbourhood Watch and Forest Guards, as well as various youth organizations.

He added that the meeting will hold on Nov. 5, at Nsukka Local Government Council Headquarters for Enugu North Senatorial District by 9 am.

“It will also hold the same day in Enugu West Senatorial District at Awgu Local Government Council Headquarters at 11am, and at 2pm in Nkanu West Local Government Council Headquarters for Enugu East Senatorial District,” he added.
