Car recovered by troops of the Nigerian Army from gunmen at Afor-Uzo Junction, Isuofia community of Anambra State.

Troops of the Nigerian Army on Saturday morning killed four yet to be identified gunmen dead during a fierce gun battle at Afor-Uzo Junction, Isuofia community of Anambra State. this morning.

The gunmen who were in a a Toyota Avenza car had launched an attack at the troops manning a checkpoint in the area.

But the troops who were on alert returned fire, killing four of the hoodlums in the fierce exchange of gunshots, Paul Nwosu, Anambra Commissioner for Commissioner for Information said in a short statement.

The troops succeeded in killing four of the gumen while they also abandoned the Toyota Avenza car which they used to launch the deadly operation
