The Zamfara Police Command congratulated the state’s Christian community on Christmas and New Year’s celebrations and asked for prayers for peace in the country.

Mr Kolo Yusuf, the state Police Commissioner, made the call in a statement issued by the Police Spokesperson, SP Muhammad Shehu, on Monday in Gusau.

The CP urged Christians to use the period to offer special prayers for sustainable peace, stability, and development in Zamfara and our dear country.

According to Yusuf, security measures have been put in place to safeguard lives and property during and after the Christmas and New Year celebrations.
