Labour Party's prresidential campaign in Ekiti

The presidential ambition of the Labour Party’s presidential candidate, Peter Obi took a downturn on Thursday in Ekiti State, as his campaign experienced an extreme low turnout.

The rally is coming five days after former President, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo endorsed the presidential ambition of Obi, which was greeted with sharp criticism.

The rally was held at the Parapo Pavilion in Ado-Ekiti, Ekiti State capital.

The stadium has a capacity of 12,000 seats.

Obi’s supporters gathered in their scanty number with outfits bearing Obi’s image and also the party’s flag.

The rally was holding in state of the Obi-Datti Presidential Campaign’s Director-General, Akin Osuntokun, who was a former political adviser to ex-President Olusegun Obasanjo between 1999 and 2007

Videos on social media showed an empty stadium. Canopies were erected in the middle of the stadium, but the stadium was majorly empty.
