City players celebrate their victory over Arsenal.

Rampant Manchester City thrashed Arsenal 1-3 on Wednesday to move top of the English Premier League on goal difference.

It was a game football lovers were expecting, especially as Arsenal have occupied the top spot since November.

City opened scoring on the 24th minute after a very poor defending, which allowed Kevin De Bruyne the chance to get to the edge of the box and made no mistake with a lovely finish.

Arsenal equalised on 42nd minute from the penalty spot. Bukayo Saka won the battle of wills and sent an unstoppable penalty past Ederson into the bottom left corner.
