Messi wins Best FIFA Men's player of 2022

Argentina’s football star, Lionel Messi has been named Best FIFA Men’s player of 2022 after his exploit at the World Cup.

Messi defeated Paris St-Germain team-mate Kylian Mbappe, and Real Madrid star, Karim Benzema to win a big prize.

Speaking on the award, the PSG star said he had been lucky to achieve his dream, describing the award as amazing.

“Wow, it’s amazing. It’s been a tremendous year and it’s an honour for me to be here tonight and win this award.

“Without my team-mates, I wouldn’t be here. I achieved the dream I had been hoping for for so long. Very few people can achieve that and I have been lucky to do so.”
