Liverpool came from two goals behind to hold Arsenal to a 2-2 draw at Anfield in a Super Sunday match, with the league leaders dropping points.

Arsenal were favourite to win the match due to their spectacular form, but Liverpool crawled back to snatch a draw at home.

Gabriel Martinelli gave Arsenal the lead on eight minutes. He was in the right place at the right time to get to the rebound inside the box and gleefully rifled the ball low inside the left post.

Arsenal were 0-2 up on 28 minutes. Gabriel Martinelli showcased his great technique and produced a beautiful lofted cross into the box. Gabriel Jesus met the cross and got himself onto the scoresheet with a header inside the right post.

Liverpool got one back shortly before the break as Jordan Henderson played in Mohamed Salah, who showed great determination to get to the ball before a couple of defenders and from inside the box he shot into the top of the net for a great finish.

Salah then missed a penalty to have drawn Liverpool level on 54 minutes. His shot went just wide of the left post.

Three minutes to duration time, Liverpool levelled. Trent Alexander-Arnold produced a beautiful lofted cross into the box, where Roberto Firmino rose high to head the ball straight under the crossbar and beyond the goalkeeper.
