Reacting to the announcement, an eco-freak on Twitter named @YungJiibreel wrote, “As an environmentalist, I am impressed by the law and order implemented by you, Your Excellency. This measure will undoubtedly protect and conserve our environmental resources, particularly trees. It is my hope that citizens will comply with and uphold this law.

“As a resident of Adamawa State, I strongly advocate for afforestation rather than deforestation. Every type of plant is essential for our survival on this planet, and it is vital that we plant more trees rather than cut them down for various reasons.

“Trees have a significant impact on our lives, such as absorbing carbon dioxide, which combat global warming. I applaud you, Governor, for being at the forefront of this noble initiative, and I am delighted that you are advocating for a greener environment.

“I pray that God will bless you for these efforts, my diligent Governor.
