Lagos DSVA distributes "My Passport of Rights" booklets

The Lagos State Government under the aegis of its Domestic and Sexual Violence Agency has distributed over 10,000 booklets of “My Passport of Rights” to various children in and out of schools.

This is contained in a statement issued on Wednesday by Adejoke Ladenegan- Oginni, Lagos DSVA

Mrs. Titilola Vivour-Adeniyi, the Executive Secretary, said the recently launched child-friendly booklet targeted bringing awareness to the prevalence of child abuse.

It also provides useful information and resources for Survivors was an initiative that encapsulates the required information about SGBV.

She said this as the Agency continued its distribution of the booklets at Kings College, Lagos during a sensitization session today.

“By possessing this, the children will be well informed on issues of SGBV to ignite their development towards knowledge, protection, and even advocacy.

She said with this, they are expected to pass the knowledge to others as they are ambassadors in the campaign against all forms of abuse in their homes, schools, and domain.

It would be recalled that the launch which was held at the Lagos City Model College, Sabo Yaba had a convergence of over 300 students from various schools. The innovative booklet further infuses knowledge into Children on their rights in the State.

Vivour-Adeniyi further stressed that the booklet.is *STRICTLY NOT TO BE SOLD* and is available at the Agency. It is a must-read for anyone who cares about the welfare of children and wants to make a difference in their lives as it is expected to inspire actions”.
