Actress Kemi Afolabi took to her Instagram page on Saturday to celebrate her daughter’s 13th birthday with a touching and heartfelt message that has touched the hearts of her fans and followers.
In her Instagram post adorned with joyous pictures, Afolabi poured out her feelings of love, pride, and gratitude for her daughter, Oluwadarasimi.
In the post, Afolabi wrote, “It’s your 13th birthday, Oluwadarasimi! Happy birthday to my dearest daughter, Morenikeji mi. Today I celebrate the Grace of God in your life and mine! You’re a special child because God allows your mother to still be here with you to do what ONLY mothers could ever do for her child even when it is not convenient.”
The actress went on to express how her daughter has been a pillar of strength during times when she felt like giving up on life. She thanked Oluwadarasimi for bringing joy into her world and highlighted the privilege of witnessing her transformation from a toddler into an incredible, amazing, and beautiful teenager.
Speaking on her daughter’s qualities, Afolabi wrote, “Ms Dee, your kindness, empathy, and compassion towards others are second to none! I am proud to be your mum always! All day and every day.” Her post also featured endearing nicknames like “Hajia Rasheedat” and “Okomi,” adding a heartfelt touch to the message.
Afolabi extended her best wishes for Oluwadarasimi’s future, expressing her hope for continued success and countless opportunities. She concluded the post with a heartfelt toast to “many more eventful years of success” and declared her daughter as her “first real love.”
