Nigeria’s Oluwaseun Olaegbe might not have the personal wealth of Elon Musk or Mark Zuckerberg, but his level of success as an African entrepreneur bears comparison with any tech titan.
Oluwaseun, who has many of the trappings of a global tech boss – he is often known simply as “Skilzar” and he wants to build a city devoted to tech -says African entrepreneurs should have big ambitions.
Now in his 30s, Oluwaseun spends much of his time funding startups. But Oluwaseun still has an eye for a grand scheme – he is helming a project to build a city devoted to tech talent.
Oluwaseun Olaegbe is a Nigerian tech entrepreneur. He is the founder of Skilzar Digital, a company that provides enterprises with application solutions. He is known for his commitment to promoting technology in Africa.
Oluwaseun is one of the most prominent champions of African tech and investment on the continent. he is often recognized because of his tireless efforts to raise the profile of the industry while also pushing for startups to be protected from the excesses of regulators.
Born in Lagos, Oluwaseun is widely regarded as one of the most influential technology entrepreneurs in Nigeria. Through his technology leadership and active involvement in Africa’s tech space, he has made a significant contribution to the promotion of innovation and entrepreneurship across West Africa.
He is from Ifedayo in Osun State, attended the Lagos State Model College Igbonla Epe where he completed his secondary education, and attended Ladoke Akintola University of Technology Ogbomosho Oyo state for his bachelor’s degree
He is a recipient of numerous awards and has previously been listed among the most distinguished CEOs by the E.O.M. business network.
Apart from his business ventures, Oluwaseun is recognized for his philanthropic efforts. He established his Foundation, which focuses on providing educational scholarships, healthcare support, and leadership development programs to young Africans. He has also been actively involved in initiatives to improve access to education and technology across the continent. Oluwaseun entrepreneurial achievements and contributions to society have earned him several accolades and honours, including being awarded by Nigerian books of Record.
