Novak Djokovic overwhelmed America’s Ben Shelton Friday to book his 10th U.S. Open final.

The Serbian three times champion tamed the left handed 20 year-old 6-3 6-2 7-6.

The hardest part was the last set when Shelton broke Djokovic as he served for the match and forced a tie break. Novak prevailed 7-4.

Djokovic won the U.S. Open title in 2011, 2015, and 2018.

He lost six times, unlike the Australian Open, where he maintained a perfect record, qualifying 10 times and winning all.

He now awaits the winner of the second semi-final between World No. I Carlos Alcaraz and No. 3 Daniil Medvedev.
