Zenith Bank Plc has declared a bumper after tax profit for the first six months of the year, jumping from N111.413 billion recorded in 2022 to N291.731 billion.
Total income for the group also jumped from N80.5 billion in H1 last year to N494billion this year.
Earnings per share also grew almost three fold, from N3.53 to N9.29 during the same period.
As a result of the sterling performance, the bank has decided to pay an interim dividend of N15.70 billion to its shareholders.
This translates to N0.50 kobo per share, according to the corporate notice filed with the Nigerian Exchange today.
The dividend will be paid on 29 September to shareholders whose names appear in the register by 22 September, according to the corporate notice signed by company secretary, Michael Osilama Otu.
The bank has issued capital of 31,396,493,786 Ordinary Shares.
