Newcastle United post their biggest away win in the English Premier League on Sunday by crushing Sheffield United 0-8 to move eight on the table.

Sheffield, playing at home were no match for the visitors who ran away with comprehensive victory, leaving them rocked at the bottom of the table.

The game also recorded the first time in premier league history that eight goals will be scored by different players.

The visitors opened scoring on 21 minutes. A great through ball by Anthony Gordon set up Sean Longstaff inside the box, and he made no mistake and bang the ball into the top right corner.

Ten minutes later, Newcastle were 0-2 up. Dan Burn jumped highest inside the box to meet a perfectly executed corner kick by Kieran Trippier. His header was precise and ended up inside the right post, leaving the goalkeeper flapping in the wind.

The third goal came on 35 minutes. The ball from the free kick found its way to Sven Botman who found himself some space and scored with a thunderous header into the bottom left corner.

Few minutes into the second half, Callum Wilson leapt high to meet a deep cross and gave the goalkeeper no chance with a bullet header into the middle of the net for the fourth goal.

The fifth goal came from the boot of Anthony Gordon, who collected a pass and without hesitation fired an unstoppable shot into the bottom right corner.

Miguel Almiron made it 0-6 for Newcastle after he broke through before collecting a brilliant pass and producing a precise strike to beat the goalkeeper.

On 73 minutes, Bruno Guimaraes was in the right place at the right time to get to the rebound inside the box and gleefully rifled the ball into the top right corner to give Newcastle its seventh goal.

Alexander Isak completed the debacle of Sheffield. He made a great solo run and pulled the trigger from inside the box, beating Wesley Foderingham with a strike into the bottom right corner.
