“For this reason, our approach to solving organizational challenges in today’s economy should always be in tune with the current dynamics in the business world.

“Let me reiterate that ICT plays a vital role in proffering solutions to the numerous challenges being encountered in our work environment, therefore, as HR practitioners in the public sector seeking to be competitive in this modern world, we can’t afford to live in retrogression, we need to keep improving our ICT skills in order to fit into the ever competitive business world,” he said.

According to the HoS, today’s work environment comprises five different generations- Traditionalists; Baby Boomers; Generation X; Millennials and Generation Z which are often called the Gen Zs.

“These different generations have different orientations, therefore, as A&HR professionals, we should endeavour to always apply emotional intelligence in relating with our workforce in order to get the best performance out of everyone in realization of our various MDAs set goals and objectives,” he added.
