Veteran Fuji musician and the Olori Omooba, Akile Ijebu, Mayegun Wasiu Ayinde Marshal, popularly known as K1 De Ultimate has invested millions of Naira in guinea fowl farming.

K1’s farms are on several hectares in Ilorin, Kwara State, Ibadan, Oyo, Abeokuta and in his Ijebuland in Ogun State.

According to Kunle Rasheed, the Fuji legend’s media aide, the decision was borne out of his decision to bring succour to Nigerians by crashing the market price of the guinea fowl business.

Rasheed stated that K1 made this known at Ijebu Itele, in Ogun State, where he had felicitated with the town’s monarch, who was celebrating his 80th birthday.

“K1, as he is popularly known, believes that the only way he could add to the success of President Bola Tinubu’s administration is to contribute his own quota by bringing succour and relief to the people. Though he said he has so many ways of contributing positively to better the lot of his people, he hopes to start by making guinea fowl become a staple food in the country.

“His target is believed to be before the end of this administration which he has been working hard towards achieving the feat,” the statement reads in part.

Rasheed also said the Mayegun of Yorubaland is determined to crash the market price to an affordable one.

“No matter what the price of the bird is, K1 is determined to crash it to the minimal level that will be affordable to all. This is a promise from me to you,” he stated.
