Senate President Godswill Akpabio had before the close door session said that the ministers were invited because they supervised the finances of the security agencies.

He added that the Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Economy, Wale Edun would provide insight into how the funding of security matters could be improved to secure the lives and properties of Nigerians.

Akpabio said the interaction would afford the lawmakers the opportunity to hear directly from the service chiefs and ministers, and agree on solutions to the security challenges in the country.
