Nigerian rappers Ice Prince and Skibii have taken a jab at the esteemed rapper Eedris Abdulkareem regarding his recent claims.
In a recent interview, Eedris stated that he was the driving force behind the revolution that propelled Wizkid, Davido, Burna Boy, and other artistes to global recognition.
He attributed their success to his rebellion against the unfair treatment of Nigerian artistes by concert organizers in 2005, particularly highlighting his confrontation with 50 Cent and his associates, which he deemed a breakthrough for them.
He maintained that Nigerian artistes are now receiving international respect due to his sacrifices, albeit at the cost of his own career.
“I am the most beautiful sacrifice that gave birth to Davido, Wizkid, Burna Boy, and everybody today. Now they’re flying their own private jet. If you don’t fight for your industry, nobody will fight for you. Unfortunately, most of them didn’t appreciate”.
In a video circulating online, Ice Prince and Skiibii were seen watching the interview, sarcastically applauding and expressing gratitude to him for supposedly rescuing the industry.
