The popular Computer Village was on Thursday shut down and commercial activities paralysed as President Bola Tinubu unveils the Red Line Rail project in Ikeja area of Lagos.

Several roads were blocked in Ikeja with hundreds of security operatives, including well armed policemen, civil defence, DSS, soldiers and others on ground.

Large number of people were stranded as there were no vehicles to convey commuters to their destinations. The few available vehicles hiked their prices as demand is higher than the supply.

There was extremely tight security. Many journalists were harassed and turned back, even with their tags by overzealous federal security operatives.
