Phil Foden hit a brace as Manchester City came from behind to thrash Manchester United 3-1 in a Manchester derby on Sunday to keep tabs on Liverpool.

United shockingly took the lead eight minutes into the game at the Etihad Stadium. Marcus Rashford volleyed the ball from the edge of the box and it went in off the inside of the left post with Bruno Fernandes providing the assist.

Seven minutes later, Foden did well to control a poor pass on the edge of the box then shot towards the bottom right corner. Andre Onana was out of position but leapt to make a brilliant save.

In the 19th minute, Foden burst inside the box, beat two defenders and produced a strike from the penalty spot. The shot had power, but lacked precision and the goalkeeper stopped it easily.
