Multiple award-winning singer , Divine Ikubor, popularly known as Rema, gave an electrifying performance at the this year’s edition of the BRIT Awards held on Saturday night.
The Nigerian star delivered his hit song “Calm Down” with so much style and swag in the presence of world music stars who gathered for the highest profile music awards ceremony in the United Kingdom.
The performance makes him the the second Nigerian artiste to perform at the Brit Awards. Burna Boy performed at the award ceremony in 2018.
His latest EP, Ravage, is also a testament to his success, as it debuted on the charts in over 50 countries a few hours after its release on Friday, October 26, 2023.
This is coming after the singer made history as the first African artist to win a Chinese Music Award.
The singer achieved the feat after his song ‘Calm Down’ remix with American superstar Selena Gomez won the Best Collaboration of the Year at the 2024 Hito Music Award in the Republic of China.
In November 2023, Rema shuts down his “Ravage Uprising” 02 Arena show in London. The sold-out show of 20,000 capacity saw the likes of Nigerian celebrities and fans traveling all the way to London for the show that can described as yet another celebration of Afrobeats.
Rema joined other award-winning Nigerian artistes like Wizkid, Davido, Burna Boy, and Asake who have already sold the arena.
