Renowned Nigerian actress, Beverly Naya, has advocated for a shift in societal norms regarding male vulnerability.
During a conversation with fellow actor Efa Iwara, Naya emphasized the importance of men embracing their emotional sides, as she noted that women value partners who are in touch with their feelings and open about their vulnerabilities.
Naya conveyed her wish for men to feel comfortable being vulnerable without fear of judgment or shame, highlighting that true love often manifests through such openness.
She lamented the societal stigma attached to male vulnerability, particularly in Nigerian culture, and called for a change in perspective, believing that vulnerability shouldn’t be equated with weakness.
