Shortly after confirming the end of his marriage to his long-time partner, interior designer, and mother of his two children, comedian Ayo Makun showcased his benefits following the announcement.
On Sunday evening, AY acknowledged the breakup of his nearly two-decade relationship with Mabel Makun.
The renowned stand-up comedian expressed remorse for the loss of the home he had spent almost 20 years building and admitted to behaviours that may have compromised the marriage.
He however warned against portraying the wrong narrative about him and his his family, which he found harming to his teenage daughter.
Hinting at the possible fault from his wife, AY claimed no one is completely innocent and stated that “women always play the victims and win.”
Shortly after his statement, AY took to his Instagram page to post a video featuring his daughter, Michelle.
The young girl had accompanied him to his sister Morenike’s wedding on Saturday, an event that his estranged wife chose not to attend.
In the caption accompanying the video, AY emphasized that his children are the sole positive outcomes of his dissolved marriage, labeling them as his “benefits.”
