More woes as Nigeria crashes out of Men’s 4 x 100m Relay

There is more woes for Team Nigeria at the Paris Olympics as the relay team crashed out of the Men’s 4 x 100m Relay on Thursday.
The quartet of Kayinsola Ajayi, Alaba Olukunle Akintola, Oghene Tejiri Ashe and Godson Oke Oghenebrume placed seventh in the relay.
Nigeria came seventh in a disappointing time of 38.20 seconds which happens to be their Season Best.
The United States of America (USA) won the race in a time of 37.47 seconds to advance to the final of the tournament, while South Africa came second in a time of 37.94 seconds to qualify for the final and set their Season Best record.
Great Britain came third in a time of 38.04 seconds (Season Best) and automatically qualified for the final, while Japan finished fourth in a time of 38.06 seconds (Season Best) to also qualify for the final and Italy, which came fifth in a time of 38.07 seconds also reaching the final.
