Ace Nollywood actor and filmmaker Kanayo O. Kanayo has unfollowed fellow actor Yul Edochie on Instagram, following a heated public jab that began with a controversial interview.
In the interview, hosted by Kanayo on his podcast, Yul’s elder brother, Linc Edochie, was invited to discuss Yul’s recent high-profile marriage to Judy Austin, which has drawn media attention.
During the interview, Kanayo asked Linc for his thoughts on the matter, to which Linc suggested that Yul should keep his marital affairs private and off social media.
In response, Yul took to Instagram, where he posted a scathing message addressing both his brother and Kanayo.
Referring to Kanayo as “stupid,” Yul’s post quickly went viral, sparking an online uproar.
Fans and followers soon took to Kanayo’s social media accounts to inform him of Yul’ statements and to express their support for the veteran actor.
Shortly after, Kanayo unfollowed Yul on Instagram. A recent check on Kanayo’s profile confirmed that Yul’s name no longer appeared in his following list
