TAMPAN to hold 2025 Conference in Lagos

The Theatre and Motion Pictures Practitioners Association of Nigeria (TAMPAN) is set to host its 2025 Conference in Lagos State.

The Global President of TAMPAN, Otunba Bolaji Amusan in a press briefing held in Abeokuta on Friday revealed that the decision to host the conference in Lagos was strategic, given the state’s significant strides in supporting the creative industry under the leadership of Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu.

The conference, aimed at fostering creativity and innovation within the industry, will feature presentations from each state contingent, showcasing their unique perspectives on the conference theme.

A highlight of the event will be the conferment of the prestigious TAMPAN Pillar of Arts Award upon Governor Sanwo-Olu in recognition of his unwavering support for the creative sector in Lagos State.

The Onipokia of Ipokia will also be honored as the Royal Patron of TAMPAN.

The conference is expected to draw over 8,000 participants from chapters worldwide. The conference will be held across two venues: the Lagos Television Complex in Ikeja and the University of Lagos in Yaba.

The event will bring together industry icons, Board of Trustees members, Board Fellows, and leaders from various guilds and task teams for a series of discussions and presentations.

TAMPAN also called on the media to partner with it in promoting the conference, emphasizing the importance of public awareness and a collective effort to address national challenges.
