Nollywood actress Ronke Odusanya has opened up about her exhilarating experience working with Toyin Abraham on the movie, Alakada: Bad and Boujee.
The star-studded film, which is a thrilling blend of humour and drama, marked a significant moment in Odusanya’s career, as she collaborated with Abraham on a full-fledged cinema project for the first time.
Sharing her excitement, Odusanya praised the award-winning filmmaker’s dedication and generosity.
“It feels good to be a part of her project. I have worked with her before but not on a cinema movie. I enjoyed being on the movie set because the role I played was an interesting one for me. Toyin is a big shot in the industry, she paid me very well. I am happy working with her,” Odusanya revealed.
The Alakada franchise, a beloved comedy series known for its hilarious take on Nigerian socialites and their extravagant lifestyles, returned with even more glamour, mischief, and unexpected twists.
In January, 2025 Alakada: Bad and Boujee, set a sensational milestone by raking in a whopping ₦460 million at the box office.
Abraham had celebrated the monumental achievement, thanking fans and urging even more support to push the film further.
“The journey to beat my last record started immediately after we finished the production of Alakada,” Abraham wrote, highlighting her relentless determination to surpass her previous successes.
“Yes, I wanted to do well at the box office, but beating my last record and almost doubling it is better than just doing well,” she said.
