Police bust criminal gang, hand over N4.8m to rescued kidnap victim

 The Kano Commissioner of police, Ibrahim Adamu Bakori has handed over the recovered sum of N4,850,000:00 ransom  to a kidnap victim.
 The victim, a resident of Zakirai Town, Gabasawa Local Government Area, Kano,  was kidnapped in his home town.
Police say through a technical-based operation and intelligence-driven investigation, five suspects were arrested, and the victim was rescued on  March 17, 2025.
The recovered fund was handed over to the owner through the Local Government Chairman of Gabasawa Local Government Area, Hon. Pharm Sagir Usman Abubakar.
The Chairman expressed his appreciation to the Kano Police for their swift response and professionalism in handling the case.

Bakori reiterated the Command’s commitment to protecting lives and properties, and ensuring that justice is served.
