Afrobeats superstar, Davido, has revealed that he and his wife, Chioma, have mutually agreed to pause on expanding their family—for now.
The father of five made this known during a recent appearance on the show Ride Along With Darryl, where he emphasized the importance of giving Chioma the space and time to focus on her personal aspirations after becoming a mother of three.
“I don’t want more children now. Me and my wife are taking a break,” Davido said. “She needs to get out to work. She wants to do a lot of things like opening her restaurant and launching her spices. I feel she deserves a couple of years off after having 3 kids.”
The “Omo Baba Olowo” crooner and Chioma welcomed a set of twins—a boy and a girl—in 2023, marking a bittersweet chapter in their journey.
The birth came just a year after the tragic loss of their first son, Ifeanyi, who died in a drowning accident.
