Nigerian Afrobeats singer, Orezi, has revealed the reason behind the fading of his music career, attributing it to a decline in ambition and a relaxed approach to the industry.

The Ogede crooner made the disclosure during a recent appearance on Hip TV’s Trending, where he admitted that stepping out of the competitive drive in the music industry greatly impacted his consistency and visibility.

“I faded out because I became less ambitious and comfortable with where I was,” Orezi confessed. “I was always on vacation, enjoying myself. I took myself out of the competition.”

Noting the importance of staying consistent in the music industry, he praised superstar Davido as an example of relentless drive despite success.

“Competition fuels consistency. Look at Davido, for example — he hustles like an underground artiste. He has money and fame but still maintains his hustling spirit,” he added.
